Featuring new arrangements of festive favourites penned by pianist Paul Edis and performed by the ‘velvet-voiced’ Jo Harrop alongside a 9-piece band, A Jazzy Christmas is heading to Guildford this December for our Christmas Concert in the atmospheric setting of St. John’s Church, Farncombe!
You can expect to hear classic Christmas hits such as ‘Santa Baby’ given a big band treatment rubbing shoulders with more contemporary hits like ‘Driving Home For Christmas’ as a Brazilian samba.
You don’t have to be a jazz fan to like this show, but if you are, you’ll be blown away by the standard of musicianship from some of the leading lights on the UK jazz scene Featuring: Freddie Gavita (trumpet/flugel) Robert Fowler (alto sax/clarinet), Matt Anderson (tenor/soprano sax), Rory Ingham (trombone), Gareth Lockrane (flute/piccolo) Johanna Burnheart (violin) Paul Edis (piano/arrangements), Marianne Windham (double bass), Matt Home (drums)
** Early booking recommended

DIRECTIONS
St John’s Church, Farncombe, Godalming GU7 3EJ
St. John’s Church is situated in St. John’s Street right in the centre of the village just opposite the Co-op store. It was built over 160 years ago and was extensively refurbished in 2012 with new seating, flooring and lighting. It has wonderful acoustics for all types of music as well as a unique atmosphere.
There is no parking at the church itself, but there is some street parking and a number of public car parks within 5 minutes walk of the church. We’d recommend Meadrow car park, just off the A3100 (the Guildford-Godalming road) – the postcode is GU7 3HY. It’s free in the evenings and it’s a short walk direct to the church from the car park, up Church Path.
