Oct 20th ARQ : Alison Rayner Quintet

Guildford Jazz presents the award winning quintet ARQ in the beautiful setting of St Mary’s church in the heart of Guildford.

Led by bassist and composer Alison Rayner, multi award-winning quintet ARQ are widely celebrated from several years of extensive UK and European touring. Lauded for their vibrant, communicative performances, their music combines richly nuanced compositions, rhythmic interplay and folk-infused melodies.

Nov 3rd TIM GARLAND & JASON REBELLO

Featuring Grammy-winner Garland on tenor, soprano and sopranino saxophone and bass clarinet, with Rebello on piano and celeste, this acoustic duo is a testament to a long lasting friendship and pursuit of musical depth, humour, soulful melancholy and exhilaration.

Dec 1st Gabriel Latchin Trio's Swinging Christmas

​Chase away the winter chill with an evening of heart-warming collection of swinging Christmas tunes in the atmospheric setting of historic St Mary’s Church in the heart of Guildford.

Expect new arrangements of classic favourites as Latchin delivers his signature straight-ahead style. This truly is a seasonal feast for the jazz fans!

Dec 16th Christmas Concert with POLLY GIBBONS

A highlight of the Guildford Jazz calendar, this year’s Christmas concert in the beautiful setting of St John’s Church features the soulful charismatic singing star, POLLY GIBBONS, twice nominated as Best Jazz Vocalist by JAZZ FM and the BBC and acclaimed and located in the USA for the last five years .

With Ronnie Scott’s JAMES PEARSON on piano, GEORGE DOUBLE on drums and Marianne Windham on bass
