THE JAZZ OF DUDLEY MOORE - THE CHRIS INGHAM QUARTET
The beloved comic actor Dudley Moore (1935-2002) was also one of the UK’s most dazzling, swinging jazz pianists and a composer of wit and depth.
Following a sell out UK tour and performances at the EFG London Jazz Festival and Ronnie Scott’s, acclaimed pianist Chris Ingham and his quartet present an entertaining evening revisiting Dudley’s fabulous 1960s jazz with a scintillating live performance laced through with anecdote and insight.
This heartfelt tribute revisits Dud's dazzlingly fertile musicianship and reveals the richness and sheer likability of his music, with irresistible feel-good sounds alongside heart-rending beauty and poignancy.
Featuring Chris Ingham – piano, Paul Higgs – trumpet, Marianne Windham – double bass, George Double – drums
