‘His level of genius is rare’  – Chick Corea on Tim Garland

Tim is embarking upon a major project, cataloguing the profound music making he has shared with his longest musical partnership, that with the incredible pianist Jason Rebello.

In over thirty years of friendship Tim Garland and Jason Rebello have toured, shared and recorded music which has spurred their artistic growth as separate artists and as band members.

Both artists have had illustrious careers; Rebello working for many years with Sting, and Jeff Beck as well as Wayne Shorter and many others; Garland famously working with Chick Corea, and producing over 20 well received albums of his own.

Now it is time to focus this long-honed rapport in a series of duet recordings and performances entitled Duology.

Featuring Grammy-winner Garland on tenor, soprano and sopranino saxophone and bass clarinet, with Rebello on piano and celeste, this acoustic duo is a testament to a long lasting friendship and pursuit of musical depth, humour, soulful melancholy and exhilaration.

Featuring several brand new compositions from both artists and stunning renditions of material that they have known and loved for 30 years.
